The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named more than 350 students to the Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester. A total of 364 SUNY Potsdam students who excelled academically were honored for their high marks. Among the local students who made the SUNY Potsdam Dean's List were:

Students at Fairleigh Dickinson University's College at Florham, located in Madison, N.J. have been named to the Honor's List for the Spring 2012 Semester. To qualify for the Honor's List, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses). The following local resident's are among the 1,423 students who earned Dean's List honors for the spring 2012 semester at SUNY Oneonta. To qualify for the Dean's List, undergraduate students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 semester hours or more.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has named 30 new Edgar Fellows for the current academic year. The college's Honors Program is named after the program's founder, William Edgar, distinguished teaching professor emeritus of philosophy. Students must exhibit a high level of motivation and academic accomplishment to be admitted to the program, which entails honors courses, research opportunities and close work with honors advisers.
